Priority : LIT 2 > Overview

Department:  Litigation

Team:  Complex Commercial Litigation

Target:  First-Chair Trial Lawyer

Seeking an established first-chair trial lawyer who ideally would be bringing a team and a robust client following.  In addition to broadening our bench in the Atlanta market with a first-chair litigator, we would also have an interest in building a consumer class action defense practice to be based in California leveraging our strong social media client relationships. Additionally, we are seeking partners focused on the California Consumer Privacy Act and / or Data Breach Litigation.

Goal:  Broaden and Deepen Our Complex Commercial Litigation Capabilities

Establish strong commercial litigation capabilities in key markets with an emphasis on Atlanta, New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Sell:  Strong Litigation Legacy with Market Leadership Opportunity

The Kilpatrick side of KT has a long and storied history as a Southeast market leader in Complex Commercial Litigation.  We want to build upon this rich history and provide legacy clients true national reach while also expanding new client opportunities.  Limited competition in key markets, such as NY and CA, offers high profile candidates the ability to be market leaders supported by a national platform.

Team Bio:  Complex Commercial Litigation

We are the largest practice group in Kilpatrick Townsend’s litigation department with lawyers in our Atlanta, Augusta, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Raleigh, Washington, D.C., and Winston-Salem offices.  We handle cases in courts across the United States, and we represent clients in arbitrations worldwide.  Daily, our lawyers are in court or in an arbitration hearing representing clients in large and medium-sized business cases.  Our long-term success at client service is demonstrated by the high quality of the companies we represent and the large number of them who are long-time partners.  Whether it means studying yesterday’s judicial decision on the hearsay rule that may protect our client at trial or using the latest innovations in courtroom audio-visual technology, our lawyers have the skills to win in court.
